Park & Ride is designed for public transport users who want to combine different modes of transport seamlessly. If you have a valid HSL public transport ticket, you can park at a Park & Ride facility for a small fee or even for free. You can park your car or bicycle near a station or stop and then continue your journey by public transport.

If you have a long journey, ride halfway!

You can leave your bike at a Bike & Ride free of charge. There are usually no time limits for bicycle parking.

If you have a valid HSL ticket, you can park for free or for a fee of a few euros. At many train stations in Vantaa as well as at Malmi station, you can also park with a VR ticket. Some Park & Ride sites also have facilities for charging electric cars.

How to use Park & Ride

At free Park & Ride sites, you can simply drive in and park if you have a valid public transport ticket. Use a parking disc where required.

At paid Park & Ride sites, you must show a valid ticket to use the facility for a small fee.

You can search for Park & Ride sites and site-specific instructions using the map or list on this page. Alternatively, use the browser version of the Journey Planner. We recommend that you review the site-specific instructions before your journey.

What ticket will I need?

You need a valid HSL season ticket, day ticket or single ticket. Your ticket can be on the HSL app, an HSL card or a disposable card, or stored on your debit or credit card if you use contactless payment. More information about tickets, zones and where to buy tickets is available here.

At paid Park & Ride sites, you must show a valid ticket to use the facility for a small fee. The ticket must be valid within the zone where the Park & Ride area is located.

If you use the HSL app, show your mobile ticket to a QR reader.
If you use an HSL card or a disposable card, show your card to the card reader, buy a ticket at the card reader with value on your HSL card, or activate a ticket loaded on a disposable card by showing the card to the card reader.
If you use contactless payment, show your debit or credit card or the device you used to buy a single ticket (for example, your smartphone) to the reader or buy a ticket using contactless payment.

You either do this when driving into the parking area or after you have parked, depending on the parking area.

How do I pay for Park & Ride?

How to find there?

The Journey Planner shows not only public transport routes but also routes by bike or by car from your place of departure to the relevant Park & Ride. Currently, this features is only available in the browser version of the planner.

How to search for a Park & Ride site using the Journey Planner:

Open the Journey Planner in your browser.
Enter your origin and destination in the search box.
Select the modes of transport in the Journey Planner settings: select public transport and car or bicycle. You can activate the desired mode of transport by sliding the button next to the mode of transport. Reload the page if need be.
Return to the search view and click on the icon above the search results showing the car or bike and public transport symbols.
You will get a new search result, which includes the journey to the parking site by your chosen mode of transport.
See the information for each Park & Ride site by clicking on the site name.

The Journey Planner also shows the number of vacant car parking spaces, if this information is available for the Park & Ride site in question.

The Journey Planner also tells you which ticket you need for your public transport journey.

Aimo Park, the operator of Myllypuro Park & Ride, is being replaced by another service provider.

Please note that, at the moment, the map may incorrectly show that Myllypuro Park & Ride is open and maintained by Aimo Park.

Our goal is to have the Park & Ride operational during January 2026, after which the map will be updated with the correct information.
