We recommend that you use up any value you might have left on your multi-user HSL cards as soon as possible and then start using other products. If your company has multi-user HSL cards that have value on them, you can request a refund for the remaining value. You can find more detailed instructions for requesting a refund at the end of this page.
Below you’ll find detailed instructions for different situations depending on how your company has used the multi-user HSL cards:
- If the multi-user HSL cards have been used to pay for journeys made during the workday
Start using the HSL Business Portal, where you can issue a mobility budget of your choosing to your employees. Once the employees have been provided with a budget, they can use it via the HSL app to purchase the tickets they need.
You can also order ticket codes via the HSL Business Portal that allow the recipients, e.g. the employees, to redeem single or day tickets via the HSL app.
In addition, disposable cards are also a good option for journeys during working hours. You can order disposable cards via the HSL Business Portal or via email by using an order form. According to the current estimate, these disposable cardboard cards will be turned into single and day tickets equipped with a QR code and made available for order via the HSL Business Portal in May. The current cardboard disposable cards can be used as usual until 31 December, 2025.
- If the multi-user HSL cards have been used for company outings
Start using the HSL Business Portal, where you can order ticket codes that allow the recipients, e.g. the employees, to redeem single or day tickets via the HSL app.
In addition, disposable cards are also a good option for company outings or some other single event. You can order disposable cards via the HSL Business Portal or by sending us an order form via email. According to the current estimate, these disposable cardboard cards will be turned into single and day tickets equipped with a QR code and made available for order via the HSL Business Portal in May. The current cardboard disposable cards can be used as usual until 31 December, 2025.
- If the multi-user HSL cards have been used for employees’ commuter benefits (non-resident season tickets)
A non-resident season ticket is a season ticket intended for those living outside the HSL area. If the employee has had a commuter benefit in the form of a non-resident season ticket on a multi-user HSL card, they will be able to continue using the ticket in the HSL app.
Start using the HSL Business Portal, where you can issue a commuter benefit to the employee as a flexible mobility budget. You can freely choose the amount of budget issued to the employee. The employee can then use the budget in the HSL app to purchase a non-resident season ticket for 30 or 360 days at a time.
How do I know if our company uses multi-user HSL cards?
All HSL cards used by companies are multi-user cards. The cards are either unregistered cards or cards registered under the company’s business ID. You can also use our search function to check whether the cards you have are multi-user cards.
What is the reason for discontinuing the multi-user HSL card?
We are in the process of implementing a new ticket background system. The new system entails a simpler ticket range which will no longer feature separate multi-user and personal HSL cards. Once the new system is in use, multi-user HSL cards can no longer be used.
