Rollators
Rollators are allowed on all HSL public transport vehicles. Please make sure you have a valid ticket for your journey.
Tips for travel
On buses
When boarding a bus through the middle door, you do not need to show your season ticket that you have on the HSL card to the card reader. If need be, you can ask other passengers to help you to purchase a value or single ticket.
Press the pram button next to the doors to make them stay open longer.
On trams
On inner-city trams, there is a wheelchair button next to the middle doors. Pressing the button will alert the driver to release the wheelchair ramp. The driver will help you open the ramp.
On low-floor trams, you can show your HSL card to the card reader because there are card readers at all doors.
On commuter trains
Commuter trains have doors that are marked with a wheelchair symbol. When you press the button marked with a wheelchair symbol next to these doors, a step will slide out and bridge the gap between the train and the platform, making it easier to board the train with a rollator.
On commuter trains, you can show your HSL card to the card reader because there are card readers at all doors.
Buying a ticket
If you are using a rollator and were unable to purchase a ticket at a card reader on the vehicle, the ticket inspector will not charge you a penalty fare in case of a ticket inspection. The inspector can use your HSL card to purchase a single ticket.
