The multi-journey ticket is a simple, easy-to-understand product that saves you money: When you buy a multi-journey ticket, you get 10 single tickets for the price of nine tickets, or 20 single tickets for the price of 17. The multi-journey ticket is well-suited, for example, for people who work from home and who use public transport weekly and usually buy single tickets. The multi-journey ticket is a good option for all who use single tickets often.

Multi-journey tickets are linked to your personal identity code so you will not lose the ticket or the remaining single tickets. Please note that if you activate a single ticket and then log out of the app or delete the app, you will lose the activated single ticket. However, your multi-journey ticket will remain safely stored.

The multi-journey ticket responds to changing travel needs. It is an excellent option for people who work part of the week from home. During the pilot in 2023, we gathered customer feedback as well as information about ticket sales. Based on the information we gathered, the ticket is mostly used for commuting. You can see when the validity of your multi-journey ticket ends by selecting the “Tickets” view in the HSL app. You can see all valid tickets you have in the “Tickets” view. In addition, you can see the availability of your multi-journey ticket. The app gives you both the date and the exact time when your multi-journey ticket expires.

Multi-journey tickets always expire at 4.30am, which is when the so-called operating day of public transport ends.

Example: You have purchased a 10-journey ticket on Friday 9 May 2023 at 6.40pm. Your multi-journey ticket is valid for 30 days from the moment of purchase. The validity of your ticket will end on Thursday 8 June at 4.30am, which is also when the operating day of public transport ends. 

We have limited the validity period of multi-journey tickets to ensure that the discount especially benefits those customers who need to use public transport more frequently than just occasionally.

Yes you can. For example, you can buy a 20-journey ticket for zones AB and a 10-journey ticket for zones BC at the same time.
