Your home municipality or registered address affects the price of your season ticket
HSL area municipalities and the neighboring municipalities subsidize public transport for their residents by paying compensation to HSL. This enables residents to buy tickets at a lower price. Consequently, your home municipality or the address where you are registered affects the price of your season ticket.
If your address in an HSL area municipality or neighboring municipality is temporary, you can only buy season tickets at the lower resident price on an HSL card.
In the Compare ticket prices section on the Tickets and fares page, you can check the price of your ticket by selecting your customer group, travel zones and home municipality.

Information from the Digital and Population Data Services Agency
Please note that when you purchase a ticket, we verify your home municipality and address through the Digital and Population Data Services Agency. For example, if you submit a temporary change of address to the area, the information must be recorded in the agency’s database before you can buy a ticket at the lower price.
Ticket discounts
You can get a discount on certain tickets if you belong to a specific customer group and your home municipality or temporary address is in the HSL area.
