• Check whether you are entitled to a student discount.

• Your discount entitlement can be verified electronically.

• If you have recently moved to the HSL area, your new address must be up to date in the Digital and Population Data Services Agency's register before you can be granted a student discount.

• A new school pass can be automatically used on the same HSL card as the previous school pass.

• You can check the validity dates of your child’s school pass on your child’s HSL account on hsl.fi (act on behalf of another person).

• If your child’s home municipality or school does not provide an HSL card, you can purchase the card at the HSL service point or a municipal service point or have one delivered to your home.

• You can get an HSL card delivered to your home from Wolt Market in Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa.

• Once you have received the card, create an HSL account and complete strong authentication online.

• You can also order a new HSL card to replace a lost one. Remember to deactivate the lost card by contacting HSL customer service.
