Buy a ticket and enjoy your journey!

The HSL app is the easiest way to buy tickets. You can buy single, day or season tickets anytime, anywhere. The app also includes the Journey Planner, which helps you choose the right ticket and plan your route. When using the app, you can choose from several payment methods, including a debit or credit card, MobilePay or a commuter benefit (HSL Commuter Benefit, Edenred, Epassi and Smartum).

Download the HSL app for free from AppStore, Google Play or AppGallery.

If you do not have a smartphone or cannot buy tickets using the app for some other reason, you can also pay your fare with the HSL card. The card costs €5, and you can buy one from a service point.

You can top up the HSL card with season tickets or with money that you can use to pay single fares. You can top up the card at our Ticket Store or at sales and service points. Please note that sales points may charge a service fee for topping up the card. 

Contactless payment is a fast and secure way to purchase tickets. Simply select the zones and tap your debit or credit card on the reader. The ticket will be stored on your card, and you can board.

You can use contactless payment for adult single fares. Your card serves as your ticket, which you show to a ticket inspector. The ticket is valid on all HSL transport services: trams, the Metro, commuter trains, buses, and the Suomenlinna ferry.
